The first new feature to catch our attention was the ability to use the UMTS 2100mhz frequency, while this 3G technology is not yet available stateside, it is believed T-Mobile will open up the spectrum for ultra fast 3G connections by years end, and with its cool interface and Windows Mobile 6.0 support, the HTC Dual Touch is the perfect device to usher in the new 2100mhz frequency. The Dual Touch also allows users to manipulate slideshows, while offering a much improved interface for web accessability, all wrapped into a small package at only 107mm x 55mm x 15.8mm (4.2" x 2.2" x 0.6"). The HTC Dual Touch also features a 2 mega pixel camera and access to the web through WiFi (802.11 b/g) and through the EDGE network. The Dual Touch will also feature double the Ram of the HTC Touch. Much like the , the Touch Dual will be available in a tri-band mode only (900/1800/1900) meaning it will work on T-Mobile in the United States, and Rogers and Fido in Canada, leaving AT&T customers without an option, at least thus far. Many aspects of the HTC Dual Touch will remain the same, for instance, a MicroSD card slot will still come standard, and Email support for POP/IMAP/SMTP will be included with Push email support. Battery time will also remain about the same, offering 6/10 days of standby (GSM/UMTS) and 6/4 Days Talktime (GSM/UMTS).
