The AT&T partnership with the iPhone just took an International turn, as the Wireless company announced that it will begin offering customers an International Roaming package that is immediately available in all 29 countries where AT&T current has roaming partnerships put into place. The deal will offer users a flat rate for 20mb's and a charge per kilobyte following an overage. {mosgoogle} The Data Roaming plan for the iPhone will include 20mb's of transfers for $24.99. If the user goes over their allowed rate they will be charged per kilopbyte, at a rate of $.005. If the user believes they will use more than the allowed amount of transfer a$59.99 option is also available, with that plan users will receive 50mb's of transfer, and will continue to pay overage charges at the same rate of $.005 per kilobyte. According to AT&T's data page, Discounted countries include: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and Taiwan. The plans are effective immediately and are considered add-ons to a users current data plans. If you plan to use your phone outside of AT&T's International coverage please check with the site to find out the cost per kilobyte which can be much higher than out of network international roaming partnership fees. |
