Sunday, July 27th 2008 -- AT&T has filed papers with the FCC asking the communications governing body to review the merger of the Sprint Wireless XOHM WiMax and Clearwire WiMax networks.

In their request AT&T officials have asked the FCC to determine whether or not the merged technologies would actually help benefit customers and serves the public interest.

AT&T claims that because the technologies are backed by big technologies players such as Google and Intel, along with several large cable companies that a proper look at the merger should be required.
