AT&T Data Revenue Increases By Over 50 Percent |

Wednesday, July 23rd 2008 -- AT&T Wireless has alot to be happy about this week. The company today released reports on their wireless data usage and its a big number. According to AT&T rep data usage on the network increased by a staggering 52 percent in earned revenue.
The huge jump in data revenue is believed to be largely attributed to the number of new 3G handsets that offer high speed data connections for AT&T customers. Another big part of the equation was the release of the iPhone and iPhone 3G handsets which added a large number of new subscribers to the nations largest cellular provider.
According to AT&T the company added 1.3 million new subcribers in the last quarter bringing the telecom giants total number of subscribers to 72.9 Million users.
Overall AT&T recorded a 15.8% revenue increase throughout their mobile division for the quarter.
