Is free cellular use becoming a reality? If Google Inc. has their way it will be. The Mountain View, CA company has been shopping around a new cellular device design that may not only make internet browsing on cellular device easier, it may actually reduce, or completely remove the cost of using a cellular network provider such as AT&T and Verizon.

Representative from Google have confirmed recently the search giants shopping around of a new handset design to manufacturers.

The handset specifications include a still and video camera, access to the 3G network, Global Positional Satellite Support (GPS), afull keyboard, and full connectivity to a host of Google applications.

{mosgoogle left} In a time when handset manufacturers hope for exclusive rights contracts between carriers, Google is asking that the units be made
for universal use. In fact, Google doesn't even want consumers to pay for their contract with carriers, but rather the organization
hopes that advertising revenue will offset carriage costs, allowing customers to use the phone for free.

While companies such as Verizon have been fighting Google in every wireless move they have made, it appears that the phone may prove
to be of added benefit to MVNO's who often must fight rising costs and uncertain futures. If MVNO's don't want to go the way of Amd'd
Mobile, the Google phone may offer an alternative for offsetting high operating costs, if the phone doesn't prove to be free on MVNO
services, it may at least dramatically reduce operating and consumer costs along the way.

The phone will also feature a new browser that the company hopes will allow for full integration of phone and internet usage, an
important aspect if they expect to pull the needed revenue from ad based internet adverts to cover costs and turn a profit.
