The T-Mobile G1 Google Android phone isn't shipping until tomorrow, but we were lucky enough to get our hands on the device before its official launch date. The Quad-Band GSM device has a really nice all around build factor, not surprising considering HTC manufactured the device. After a quick walk around the one "possible" troubling factor was the sliding mechanism on the device, it appears to be a little flimsy, but again that was just a first impression, for all we know the springs inside are made of titanium, it was just an impression. I was personally surprised by the small size of the HTC G1, while the keypad was still pretty accessible and I didn't feel like I was going to fat finger the device. I also really liked the curved design which you can see on the side view photo i've posted below I've also included some pictures of the retail packaging from T-Mobile, its probably some of the most interesting and best packaging I've seen to date. If you like the pics be sure to check out our Google G1 Reviews And Specs page to learn more.
