Iphone Sales have not met industry estimates despite a large marketing campaign and long lines at corporate locations

Apple Computers was unable to capitalize on their massive advertising campaign for their new Iphone cellular Device. AT&T
announced this week that sales for the Iphone after 2 days of sales were at a medium level of 146,000 devices. The
announcement came after Iphone had announced predicted sales of the Iphone at 10 million within its own lifecycle

{mosgoogle left}Many industry experts estimated that the phone would sell 500,000 to 1 Million units in its first week of release. Some experts believe that the amount of units moved may actually be much higher, however they have warned that true estimates do not include phones bought outside of new activations.

A single reason for the lack of sales may be cited in AT&T's high price plans, often causing customers to pay more and
receive less in terms of minutes, text packages, and other benefits they could keep at a lower price with their prior
cellular phones.

Apple still believes the phone will become the companies third cash cow. They also site activation problems that held up
many users abilities to sign up for the new packages in the first several days of sales.
