Motorola has announced a new offering of phones to be shown at CES this year. Among them, is the Surf A3100 smart phone, equipped with a large touch screen and sporting Windows Mobile 6.1. Along with the Surf, Motorola will be offering the Tundra VA76r, a rugged phone meant to handle a little abuse, and the ecologically friendly Renew W233 at the CES on the 8th of January. The Surf A3100 will bring a good deal of user interaction and customizability to phone users.

The Surf A3100 offers the aesthetics of a sleek and attractive phone, sporting chrome details and rounded edges. There are three modes of user interaction: stylus, finger and trackball. Inside of the device is the quad band GSM electronics, which includes 3G support, a 3 mega pixel camera, Bluetooth and integrated Wi-Fi accessibility. Included with the software is Google maps, messaging, email, media player and video conferencing. The user interface that is powered by Windows mobile is fully customizable, with the addition of UI widgets. While the phone will be released in China this year, sadly the phone has no tentative plans for release with a U.S. carrier, but electronics enthusiasts should keep an eye out.
