Each of the two divisions will be publically traded and will consist first of the Mobile Devices sector of Motorola, while the second business will comprise the
Broadband & Mobility Solutions area. As the name would suggest the Mobile device division will consist solely of Motorola mobile handsets, while the Broadband & Mobility section will supply networking
equipment and enterprise-grade handheld devices.
The new move my Motorola is being seen as an effort by Motorola officials to better focus on their core businesses. Unde the new plan a new CEO will be brought in to support the Mobile Device business. Motorola has announced a world wide campaign to find a qualified candidate for the role.
