Thursday May 08, 2008 - Nokia Siemens and Mobilkom Austria have successfully completed the fastest download speeds reached thus far on the I-HSPA network, hitting a record 10.1 Mbps on the mobile data network.

The High Speed Packet Access  equipment also know as I-HSPA is a network that has evolved to fit somewhere between HSPA and Long Term Evolution (LTE) Network, with one key advantage, the I-HSPA network is directly connected to the internet at each base station, allowing for faster download and upload speeds to be achieved.

There is currently no timeframe on when the network trial may come to market.
