Thursday, June 12th 2008 -- Nokia announced their newest entry level phone today. The Nokia 1508 features a bar style design and has yet to be announced for use on any North America carrier network.
The Nokia 1508 bar-style phone will be available for use on CDMA networks such as Alltel, Sprint and Verizon Wireless if one of the companies agrees to pick up the entry level device. The Nokia 1508 will take advantage of CDMA 1x data, and will feature an FM radio transmitter which can be operated alongside the devices built in 2.5mm headset jack.
The Nokia 1508 will also feature a microUSB port for charging, and the device will run on the Symbian Series 40 Mobile Operating System. The 1508 will also feature the BREW 2.1 application and port for BREW applications.
Color choices are varied featuring Red, Navy Blue and Black Options.
As no carrier has been announced a release date has yet to be set.
