Sandisk has begun to ship demo copies of their new 8gb Mobile M2 memory card, a new peripheral that will allow mobile phones with M2 Support, for the most part Sony Ericsson devices at this point, to carry the same memory capacities as the Iphone.
The new 8gb M2 Card from Sandisk has a storage capacity of more than 2,000 songs or more than 5,000 high-resolution pictures. If the user is using a high resolution Mpeg 4 video format they can also expect up to 5 hours of video coverage. The Sandisk card does carry one large advantage over the Iphone, it allows users to remove and swap their memory cards among friends and among the users PC. The official retail release of the Sandisk 8gb M2 memory card is expected for the end of 4th Quarter 2007. |
