Friday, June 27th 2008 -- Rogers Wireless up in Canada announced the new calling plans for their iPhone 3G users today, the plans are not half as economical as U.S. based AT&T wireless, and none of the plans so far will include an unlimited data plan, with the cheapest calling setup starting at $60/month.
According to Rogers Wireless the iPhone 3G can be purchased with a 3 year contract for the lowest price of $60/month, for that price customers will get 150 minutes of voice calling and 400mb of data storage. The next plan at $75/ month gives users 300 minutes and 750mb of data, followed by a $100/month plan that offers 600 minutes of calling time and 1GB worth of data transfer. Finally the top plan at $115/month offers 800 minutes plus 2GB of data tranfer.
All plans come with unlimited nights and weekend minutes and each plan features a fixed number of outgoing messages with unlimited incoming messaging.
Rogers Wireless customers will also be able to pay an additional $15 on any plan to include caller ID, who called, Caller Ring Trax and 2500 Sent text messages plus 2500 call forward Minutes, or they can pay $20 and receive 10,00 Sent Text Messages and earlier evening minutes starting at 6pm plus all the features of teh $15 plan.
