Monday - May 12th, 2008 -- Sprint Wireless announced their partnership with Clearwire last week, a move that would help band together their WiMax network, eventually leading to a larger network nationwide. That move is now being challenged by iPCS a Sprint Wireless National Affiliate.

iPCS currently serves more than 640,000 subscribers and operates in 7 states. iPCS is now claiming that the new network will offer direct competition to their own services. iPCS claims that direct competition with their own services will violate the exclusivity agreement they have held with Sprint for the last 9 years dating back to 1999.
Sprint is fighting the accusations, asking a judge to release the case. |
