Sprint Tests NFC Cashless Payment in San Francisco

In recent weeks cellular banking has been a hot topic, and Sprint has joined the fray. Sprint Nextel will beginning testing NFC Cashless Payment programs this week in the San Fransisco area, participants will receive an NFC enabled phone from Sprint.

The Sprint Nextel NFC beta program will focus on local Jack in the Box fast food restaurants, and the BART transportation hub. If customers fall below $10 on their BART cards, their bank account will automatically be deducted enough to bring the card back to $45 dollars.

Beta testers will also be paid for beta testing the new product.
