T-Mobile 3G Launching In 27 Markets On October 1st |

Wednesday, July 30th 2008 -- T-Mobile handset users who have purchased 1700mhz AWS compatible units will soon be able to take advantage of 3G data speeds, but only if they live in certain markets, at least when it comes to the initial launch of the new high speed data network.
According to T-Mobile their 1700mhz AWS 3G data network will go live in 27 markets starting on October 1st, 2008.
Here's a list of the markets for the initial launch
- New York City
- Austin
- NJ and Long Island
- Las Vagas
- Minneapolis
- Miami
- Dallas
- Chicago
- Houston
- Philadelphia
- Denver
- Detroit
- Orlando
- Kansas city
- Atlanta
- Los Angeles
- New England (whatever that means)
- Portland
- Sacramento
- San Diego
- Seattle
- Washington DC
- San Francisco
- Birmingham
- Memphis
- Tampa
- Phoenix
If your confused because you already have 3G T-Mobile access you shouldn't fret, some markets have slowly opened in a beta state for the national telecom.
