T-Mobile has a large order to fill with the release of the new HTC G1 Google Android Cellular Device. Not only does the company need to provide top customer service, they also have to guarantee 3G access on their new high speed network, make sure customers update their data plans so they can realize the full potential of the device, and much more.

But most importantly they have to get the devices into their customers hands. But according to a T-Mobile representative "Given the great anticipation and the heavy pre-sale demand for the T-Mobile G1, [T-Mobile] nearly tripled the number of phones initially available for delivery on the Oct. 22 launch date, and have sold through them all. However, to accommodate additional T-Mobile customers who want to pre-order a device, they now have the opportunity to place a pre-order through Oct. 21, for delivery at a later date.People can still pre-register on the T-Mobile G1 Web site to be notified prior to launch where they can purchase the device beginning Oct. 22."

It sould be interested to see how many T-Mobile customers sit outside their local chain stores in an attempt to snatch up one of the in-demand devices.
