Tuesday, June 03 2008 -- Verizon Wireless announced plans today to offer a push based email service for business users that does not rely on a PDA Style of phone, but rather will push email via Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync to a non-PDA cell phone.
Devices using the new software will still be able to receive WirelessSync and Pop3 emails, with the new feature acting as an add-on. The actual service known as RemoSync will come with a monthly charge of $10 and will allow Verizon customers to fully sync with their Exchange server, including access to emails, calenders, and contacts. If you are a Verizon Wireless customer and you use an LG, Motorola, or Samsung handset you can download the application now through the Verizon Get It Now Application on your device.
