| Nokia Begins Shipping N96 N-Series Phone |

 | Sunday, August 24th 2008 -- The official FCC website has given a quick glimpse into the new Nokia 2680, a slider based phone with a dual band 850/1900 GSM Band setup with the AT&T logo featured on the frontside. The unit will also feature a camera, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR and basic SMS and MMS messaging plus internet browsing capabilities.  While the device shows AT&T markings the company has yet to announce the unit for sale via their retail or online outlets.

| Nokia Agrees To Repay German State After Plant Closes |
 | Monday, July 28th 2008 -- Nokia has announced that they will pay the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia 1.3 million Euros after closing a plant and firing 2,300 workers. The repayment comes because the German state had originally given 4 million Euros to Nokia in order to help build the plant that is now closed.
Nokia has also announced that they are switching the plant operations over to Romania from the original Bochum facility due to lower wages.

| Nokia And Qualcomm Finally Head To Court |
 | Tuesday, July 22nd 2008 -- Nokia and Qualcomm are finally heading to court to settle a patent licensing fee disagreement that occured between 1992 and 2007. The lawsuit surrounds a long held belief by Nokia that the $1 billion dollars they paid to Qualcomm covered the maximum amount the company should pay to the technology company.
Nokia considers the exhorbited amount enough of a payment for the use of certain Qualcomm patents.
