While Telus and Bell Canada may offer CDMA service, it appears the companies are investigating Long Term Evolution, also known as LTE for their 4G telecom networks. The news comes after Rogers Wireless has already begun to build up its 3G UMTS/SHPA networks for use with LTE.
The LTE plans for Telus and Bell Canada are expected to go live in 2010 with GSM handsets.
No word has been given on when CDMA handsets will no longer be supported, or how the transition will occur.
